April 2010

How I love spring...especially after a long, snowy, cold winter. These are some of my tulips I got from the Winter Quarters Temple (leftovers) thanks to the Giles.

For April Fools, Jeff once again took advantage of our kids' habits of deep sleeping and changed their clothes in the middle of the night without them knowing. I can't tell you how unhappy it makes Luke and Austin to wake up in their sister's pajamas each year no matter how hard they try to stay awake. On Easter morning, the kids were happy to wake up to full Easter baskets and an exciting Easter egg hunt ensued shortly there after. They also enjoyed dying easter eggs...almost as much as they enjoyed devouring deviled eggs the next day.

I was able to go along on Danielle's class fieldtrip to the zoo. We never seem to get tired of that place. There is so much to see and it changes all the time. Here is some of our group in the Desert Dome...the largest indoor desert in the world.
At the end of the month, we celebrated Austin's birthday. Austin's teacher had been waiting all year to give him his birthday spankings. :-)
He wanted to have his birthday at the Amazing Pizza Machine with eight of his closest friends. You should have heard these boys scream when the frog hopper dropped them. They begged the conductor of the ride to keep dropping them for several minutes...and she obliged.
